Thats not true! He started the year at like 80% after surgery last off season and with all his injury issues this season he never got back to 100% which IMO is on the coaching staff and GM. Even when he was in the lineup he was still better then Weise, Lehkonen, Weal and Byron

KK’s has also improved a lot since then (though he really wasn’t given a chance to succeed this season). He had amazing CFX% last night and was better than everyone on his line imo. I also felt like he was 1) more confident on the ice 2) more in control of his game/more dominant on the ice 3) less clunky on his skates: his skating looked much better and he had better balance. He also growled a bit and has gained some muscle. He is still not there yet, but he’s on his way to being part of a great 1A-1B punch with Zuke. I believe if he concentrates in skating and balance this off-season even more that he’ll be more than fine tbh. I personally think he takes the next step in 2020-21 or 2021-22 for sure.
