Hate trading yet another first rounder, but the Coyotes pick kinda offsets the loss. Can't say I love it, but it gets the job done for next season, which is kinda priority number 1 right now

Exactly, I think no matter what happens this offseason, we’re not gonna love it because a significant asset or 2 will have to be given up.

I think the value is fair on the ladd deal, still not sure if I want to get rid of ladd. I feel like he’s just going to LTIRetire in the next year.

I wouldn’t trade wilde for 2021 picks. His injuries this year have depleted his value a bit because most of the time he was rehabbing/healthy scratch - but many scouts thought he was arguably the best defenseman in the OHL in his D+1. I’d rather hold on to him and then trade him or pulock in 2-3 years. That could be our opportunity to trade from a strength for a top line winger in order to not let the roster get bloated

That’s true and it makes sense. You’re probably right, it’s likely this is the lowest Wilde’s value ever will be

I want to keep bellows but I’d trade him over wilde because we have wahlstrom - and bellows is not going to be a top line wing (probably a 20-20 guy) whereas wilde has a super high ceiling and I can definitely see him being the next prospect we regret letting go too soon.

DET would accept that. DET needS a fill in on the LHD side for a couple seasons, and Bellows is a decent middle 6 winger prospect. It saves NYI about $3mm for 3 seasons, and lightens their contract load. The 1st is for taking on the extra cap.

The 3rd round pick should be toward the top, so 65-70ish level, so not a massive drop.

Seems ok, still think Ladd is LTIR bound though. Also wouldn't trade Wilde but the value is terrible. This post solves next year

Doubt Boychuk is buried if he's still here though
