Honestly didn’t expect anyone to read the description. JJ-Schultz has a few blunders, but they were in control of the majority of shots & scoring chances while they were on the ice. For a third pairing, you can’t really ask for more than that.
you're correct...the goals weren't JJ-Schultz's fault....it was over-backchecking a little and they didn't cover the trailers up high. they were fine.
I think I'd sub Marleau out for Lafferty and have McCann-Lafferty-Hornqvist as the 3rd line. off the top of my head Lafferty=49%/McCann=46%/Erod=42% face offs....so lafferty is a better C option. move McCann back to wing and let him shoot the puck. I leave Sheary there for one more game....or part of one....sully can't be stubborn...he had to move pieces if it's not working....PIT didn't finish in the first game. someone has to just hit the net. almost 100 shot attempt and like 40-something on goal....not good enough.
The PP is a totally different story....it makes me sick. because we need to take price's eyes away we have to put Hornqvist back on PP1 and as much as I love guentzel, we need a RH shot who will shoot from the left side (rust). so I'd go with (PP1) Sid-down low, Geno-right half wall, Letang-Centre point, Rust-left half wall, Hornqvist-net front.
That sets up a PP2 of Guentzel-down low, McCann-right half wall, Schultz-centre point, marino-left half wall, Marleau-net front.
Thoughts?
edit-leaving zucker off the PP hurts but IDK where to slot him in....we have a lack of RH shots....to play the left half wall...
