He just doesn't seem to be a good development coach. He doesn't play his bottom 6 much which is bad for us since we've got a ton of youngsters, prefers Smith an Staal over ADA it seems (at 5VS5 at least)... maybe that's extreme but yeah

We could have one in the very near future... if Quinn put them in good situations for them at least. Howden for instance sucks at C he's beter at the W yet Quinn continues to give him C minutes like today. Play Howden at the W and McKegg at C an the team would look better.

That's just one instance of him not putting a player in a favorable place to succeed.

Buddy your defense is garbage to begin with. deangelo is horrible at playing defense. offensively gifted, absolute liability in his own end. saw it last period when he sauced a pass to the slot to a wide open hurricane. Hank hasnt been good but this team wasnt meant to compete this year. ryan lindgren as your 1 ld is not going to be good. Also, trouba isnt going anywhere.

I'd fire him and get a coach who can develop Kakko properly

A couple things here while a do agree that deangelo is offensive guy he wasn’t the one that made that pass to Carolina that was smith, 2nd hank has actually played great thus far and it’s actually been the team in front of him that hasn’t. 3rd lindgren has still been one of there best defenders and has been one of the high points of this offseason with kakko as well.

It could just be that the Canes are that much better. I mean their 4th line played unreal today. And Svechnikov was the best player on the ice everytime he was out there.

Honestly, I don't want to sell low on Nuti, and we'd be basically doing that since he's been top-4 in prior seasons but was unworthy of such a designation this past year. I'd rather keep him and expose him to the Kraken or otherwise find better value for him.

As for the Preds trade - definitely agree with @gmgb on that one. Fewer, better pieces requested.
