Detroit is insane if they don't take Rossi with the 4th pick. Drysdale shouldn't go in the top 8 IMO.

Jarry, Johnson, DeSmith, 3rd, 5th for Bernier ($1.5 ret), Bowey, Glendening, 3rd, 4th

Pens say no. Literally none of the grabbag that you are sending gets Jarry.

Not a chance. He's insanely overrated. The only reason he's ranked so high is because he's the best defenseman in the draft and because he's a righty. He's also the best skater in an otherwise unremarkable draft class in terms of skating. Drysdale is not nearly as good of a prospect as Bowen Byram was last year.

Rossi, Perfetti, Raymond, and Holtz should all go before Drysdale. You could make the argument for Lundell, Quinn, and Askarov too, but I wouldn't object to Drysdale going before those guys.

Who knows Dorion May just plan to pick people that grew up in the area. It’s a draft who knows. I can agree with picking Rossi or some forward. We could use it. But picking Drysdale, if we feel comfortable with him being a top 2/ great top 4 d man I think it’s fine. Though my eyes get big thinking about Rossi or perfetti being better than velano.

you already have seider and hronek. add offensive fire power. perfetti, rossi, or raymond would be your best options.

He's certainly a less bad pick than Drysdale. I think Detroit should go with the NHL ready center though.

I like drysdale more than Byram but yeah, there’s 6-8 forwards who are better than him in this year’s draft.

Well this makes me trust him less. I’ve heard pretty good thing about him. If he’s the best d in the draft, I kinda want him. But I can agree these 6 forwards will probably be pretty impactful

Idk why the Blues would do that. Those two guys are cheap and valuable at their price. Berube also loves Sundqvist so he’s going nowhere.

I like him better because he plays on the right, but aside from that I like Byram better in almost every regard.

I’m thinking he’s getting shafted in a couple trades trying to shed cap to keep Pete and everyone else. I agree. But why did he do the Fabbri trade. He was never going to be able to afford him if he did anything.

I don't disagree, but I think they'd be making a huge mistake. Ottawa can maybe afford to draft for position and not take the BPA at #5 since they're getting one of Stutzle/Byfield at #3.

I don't think Yzerman talks Gourde into waiving, at least not for just a 3rd. $5.2M for 5 years especially when his production has gone from 64 to 48 to 30 after adjusting for the shortened season it 35.
