How do you plan on signing him, Toffoli, Markstrom, and actual defense?

Id say let tanev walk and then trade Pearson for a sixth and then Ferlund for a sixth

Neither.... I know you didn't ask me, but how does either deal help the Habs? I think of it this way:

Short term (next season)..... definitely more beneficial to keep Domi
Mid-term (2-3 seasons from now)......nobody coming back in those deals will be close to what Habs have with Domi
Long term (4+ seasons from now)...... there's a chance that Vesalainen/Hoglander + the 1st rd prospect will equate to what Domi currently brings, with a smaller chance that it becomes a home run for the Habs.

Habs aren't rebuilding (yet...) so there's no point looking at the long term outlook unless a deal absolutely blows Bergevin's socks off. So those deals really don't cut it imo. Domi is still young / in his prime, and the Habs still want to win in the short to mid-term with Price, Weber, Petry, etc.
I have no doubt Domi is on the trade block, but look for hockey trades that deal more with the short to mid-term outlooks with regards to trading Domi.

Totally agreed, it just every hockey trade I’m doing people complain... and with Danault Suzuki Kotkaniemi Tatar Drouin Byron Lehkonen someone have to go this offseason + Domi really doesn’t want to play Winger and that’s a big factor

Not that keen on both offers, but I prefer Vancouver’s offer simply because I prefer Hoglander to Vesalainen right now. I actually don’t think he’s getting traded, but if he was, Winnipeg is a great fit.

Make it a top 13 pick this year from any of those team plus a lesser prospect and I think that takes Domi out of MTL

Hold up. You’d trade nils hoglander plus Quinn/Holloway/Jarvis for domi. I’d hope the Habs would jump all over that but can’t Vancouver doing that. And doesnt Vancouver pick belong Tampa bay

No, in my deal it would be 12-13th OA and a less great prospect than Hoglander for Domi... The VAN first belong to them if they miss the playoffs (if they lose to MIN)

Makes sense. Holloway would be a great pick in that deal

What I would like tho is to move up and grab Sanderson, we need him more than a guy like Holloway (whos really similar to Poehling tbh). Maybe 12th OA + 39th OA to CHI for 9th OA so they could grab Askarov and another great young player,

I'm not the best for evaluating prospects, but since I believe Habs need physical wingers and that the RW pool is thin, I would go for Winnipeg's deal.

Perreault's deal can be taken, but I doubt he could be resigned in 2 years.

Hmm. IDK. I like Hoglander better, but I’d expect Winnipeg’s 1st to be higher. Probably the Vancouver trade, but I think we should be moving Domi for a good RHD or RHD prospect, instead of a package of picks & stuff.

VAN declines. They’re very high on Hoglander and need to shed cap space, so the deal just doesn’t make sense for them.
