Neither.... I know you didn't ask me, but how does either deal help the Habs? I think of it this way:
Short term (next season)..... definitely more beneficial to keep Domi
Mid-term (2-3 seasons from now)......nobody coming back in those deals will be close to what Habs have with Domi
Long term (4+ seasons from now)...... there's a chance that Vesalainen/Hoglander + the 1st rd prospect will equate to what Domi currently brings, with a smaller chance that it becomes a home run for the Habs.
Habs aren't rebuilding (yet...) so there's no point looking at the long term outlook unless a deal absolutely blows Bergevin's socks off. So those deals really don't cut it imo. Domi is still young / in his prime, and the Habs still want to win in the short to mid-term with Price, Weber, Petry, etc.
I have no doubt Domi is on the trade block, but look for hockey trades that deal more with the short to mid-term outlooks with regards to trading Domi.
