Other side of Arizona Trade + Fowler

Created by: TrueNorth
Team: 2016-17 Winnipeg Jets
Initial Creation Date: Sep. 2, 2016
Published: Sep. 2, 2016
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Definitely deepens the defence and brings Stone home to Winnipeg. Saves the Jets a year of Pavelec questions. With Stone going UFA at the end of the season, Las Vegas would likely pass on him and the Jets could resign after expansion.

Anaheim needs to shed salary to afford Lindholm and Rakell. Fowler might bolt after two years but hopefully he buys into the Jet's plan and potential.

Ducks may very well get desperate to move Fowler to sign Lindholm, so to get Lowry and a 2nd might be what they have to settle for. As for the ARZ trade, I don't know that I'd want stone at 4M a season but he would be an improvement over stuart (I'm guessing) but does sound like a reasonable trade. All in all you got some stars from me!

I think all trades benefit all teams.

How does a guy in Lowry who has 23 and 17 points for Winnipeg benefit Anaheim that's a pretty bad offer.
