If Rossi is there the hawks take him and don't bother with this garbage trade. Rossi won't be there but if he is that's a home run pick. this trade sucks for Chicago. We give up Strome and a 5th just to move up 1 spot In the draft and get Lias Anderson. Horrible for the hawks. Lias Anderson has almost 0 value

I’m not understanding why we are giving up Strome to move up 1 spot/ get a Bust?

Why dont we just stay where we are (8oa) and draft holtz/rossi/perfetti? Dropping 5 places in the draft isnt enough value by itself to pick up a decent middle 6 center, and it drops our chances on hitting on our pick. Which is important when you have a rookie gm, NO scouts, and the worst player development in the league

This doesn't make sense. Why is Chicago giving up so much to move up 1 spot?

I also don't understand the NYR trade. You move down for nothing?

Rossi and Perfetti will be long gone at that pick.

anderson is not a bust believe it or not he is still a top prospect. he just for what ever reason has a beef with nyr, so it makes his only value to them be in a trade. the reason i have chi even trading strome is cap space. chi has 42m$ commited before having to sign Strome and Kubalik so saving a few m$ in a flat cap has its value too.

having a legit middle 6 center will help the team for years. regardless of who you draft and where its always a gamble. also i dont see anyone other then top 3 picks playing next year so if team still have that need to make playoffs mentality this is a helpful move.

Seems like we could get a better haul for Strome that what is being proposed here. Seems like very poor asset management.

Holtz is way higher on this list than other sites I've seen.

I can't see NJD drafting Holtz over Rossi. Heck I'd even prefer the Sens take Rossi over Raymond.

Personally I see Rossi going at 4 and Perfetti going at 7 then Holtz going at 8.

its just a trade scenario but if i was a betting man i would say that strome isnt back on the team next year and they spend the money on Kubalik. flat cap is going to cause alot of good players to have to be moved in for assets and prospects that dont hurt cap space.

uh.... the cost of moving from pick 9 to pick 8 is about pick 100,...

Chicago can just give you a late 3rd, Deal Strome for a late 1st anyway in a separate deal, and you'd be dumb not to take it as Buffalo. That's about how far off this deal is.

What I’m saying is that this deal isn’t a good way to move Strome. If we wanted to move up I’d probably say a couple picks could do it, no need to give away Strome for what we’re getting.

This trade is awful. Defending it by saying Lias Anderson is a top prospect and we sell low on one of our better forwards because we need cap space is even worse

saying a prospect is good and pointing out you dont have cap space just makes you feel worse it makes the trade better.

the elite prospects stuff is dated 2017, nice try though. Dobber pretty much calls his ceiling a middle 6 forward and that's IF you can get him back to North America. Very easily could be a bust too lol
