I feel like Point is one of those untouchables for Tampa

If that Point is possible in any way, shape or form, it better be done the millisecond both teams are eliminated.

I'm thinking it's not though.

I don’t see the reason why Buffalo needs to add in a pick they don’t have a lot as it is.

I agree that Point is probably the most untouchable player on TBL's roster given his age and contract. Maybe Gaudreau for Cirelli and Palat or Johnson?

Tampa says no and I don't see a fit here.
- One of the biggest knocks against the bolts is their size at F and Gaudreau does nothing to improve that.
- Point is strong two-way C with two years left until RFA
- Gaudreau is a one-dimensional winger who is two years away from UFA.

Hanafin is slightly better and under contract for 4 more years. Montour is RFA for only one more year and Calgary will have to buy more years of term for him.

Point is untouchable... no team trades their legit 1C on a great contract.

No Trade Clauses make this impossible. The idea for point assumes a disappointing Tampa and Calgary playoff. The players are only two years apart with identical 2 years left on team friendly deals.

Pointer is younger and most importantly he is one of the best two-way Cs. No way we trade him.
