I’d rather do pulock + bellows for ehlers and a 3rd.

Then our RHD is kinda weak if there’s any kind of injury. And a future top 4 of Toews-Dobson Pelech-Pionk sounds good to me

Pionk is just a powerplay specialist , I don’t think he’d fit in well with isles at all. i think toews-mayfield, pelech-dobson , Greene-Hutton would be fine for next season.

beau is extremely underrated. The team would be significantly worse without pulock + beau as good as ehlers is.

I’ve always been high on Pionk, and I’m pretty sure defensively he can definitey hold his own. And I don’t know if Hutton is NHL ready

This might be the best proposal I’ve seen on CF. Fits both teams. Values are fair. But who would say no. Good job.

Basically my thinking is ehlers > pulock (not by much) , but beau >>>>>> pionk. I feel like certain players on the isles get overlooked because we play low event hockey.

I think Hutton is ready for an opportunity on the 3rd pairing. He’s a great skater and he’s plays in all situations, plus he’s already 25 yo.

Also pionk is going to want to be paid for his 50 pt pace this season so I don’t even think we can afford him next offseason (nor should we pay him 5+ mill) .

The value on this trade isn’t that far off, I personally wouldn’t do it though

That's a really good deal for both teams, but I think NYI says no. I'd rather hope Beau can become that 25-25-50 guy and not lose Pulock, even if we are replacing him with a pretty good RHD.

Great thought for sure.

Pionk is nothing like he was in NY. He is such a well rounded defenceman and is more than a PP specialist. He gets better with every viewing. I was pissed at the Trouba trade return but I am definitely eating crow. His only downside is his size although he plays bigger than he is. Not afraid to go up against guys much bigger and I’ve seen him lay out big hits. He’s a good player.

Actually Pionk is solid all around, he's not all that great on the powerplay to be honest, the Jets really missed Buff and Myers in that rhd spot on the powerplay, I know he's put up some points on the man advantage but he's really not all that great as a PP QB.

Isles should say no. IMO the gap between Pulock and Pionk is wider than Ehlers and Beau.
