Who exactly are you playing above him that pushes him down to 3rd pair? Valimaki - Kylington will be perfectly fine for the 3rd pair next year

anderrson , gus, gio, & hanifin r the top 4 & valimaki plays with him on the 3rd

Gudas is a weird player. His advance stats don't match the eye test (with his advance stats better than expected) and he has an affinity for ripping low-quality shots from the point. He's fun to watch, brings some physicality and constant opportunity for a trainwreck. He is, without a doubt, a solid NHL defenseman, so you could do worse.

I enjoyed him while he was in Philly, but I did not miss him this year.
