Don't you guys love Zadorov?
(i'm not sure if the deal is fine or not but I wouldn't think you guys were paying to dump Donskoi)
There is a lot to like about Zadorov, but he is inconsistent and Graves has made him expendable. I like Donskoi too but think it's possible Colorado upgrades via trade or free agency. Things are crowded, and someone might have to go.
Here is the logic for the trade:
Colorado: they have an excess of defensemen, middle six forwards (after free agency), and RW prospects. The big prize here is Formenton.
Florida: The need bodies for when Dadonov and/or Hoffman leave, and Tallon seems like a guy who would like Zadorov. Borgstrom has been mismanaged and needs to go for something before he leaves for Finland, and they have RD depth, which makes Priskie expendable.
Ottawa: They have a lot of good prospects but could use more down the middle. Borgstrom gives them another option there, and Beaucage adds another decent prospect to their pool.
I'm not sure if it works either. The main thing is trying to pry Formenton away from Ottawa, as I think he'd be a great add for Colorado. Not sure if a trade between just the two teams works though.
