What's the logic behind swapping Strome and Stastny? Strome is better, at least on a line with Panarin and would probably take a 1 year deal if it meant him going to UFA next season

Doubt Strome takes a 1 year deal and Statsny is def better. If Strome is not centering Panarin, could be a disaster on the 2nd line

Maybe. I thought it was Donald Brashear that worked at Tim Hortons and George Laraque just visited.

Stastny's a better all-around player I guess, but Strome is the better offensive talent imo. He was solid with the Rangers after he was traded there, but even with Panarin, if they have chemistry, then so be it. Can't see why they shouldn't/couldn't play together. Stastny is getting older too, so the chances of him having that big fall-back year increase

You might be right about Strome not taking a 1 year deal, but to me it's not out of the question. Might be more money to go around next year and another great year centering Panarin could net him even more money on the open market. Could backfire obviously, but there is some precedent and his age could make him an attractive UFA next year. Not sure if it will happen, but something worth considering imo

Hey was the Rangers 3rd D pair last night
Smith-Trouba?.. If so it's hard to believe how far Trouba has fallen.. Lol

Actually didn't mind Smith's game, he was throwing some solid hits, was a nice change from watching the Jets runt defensemen getting run over all game.. 😂

He will if he cannot get the long term deal and is forced to go to arbitration.

    Funny post otherwise.

Since you say Stastny is definitely better why is Vegas getting a lower Draft pick than you got for Strome?

Because Strome is under team control and younger. While Statsny is older and a UFA after next year

Fair enough, still a no from Vegas though, Glass shouldn't be thrown into the top 6 right away, maybe in the middle of the season, but definitely not prior
