MTL is trading Domi because we have too many centers, we dont want a center back IF we trade Domi

It's more that the Oilers have been so desperately searching for a RHD since they foolishly undersold Petry to Montreal that there's almost no deal they'd part with Bouchard in.

I wouldn't mind adding Strome and seeing if he could reconnect with McDavid, I just don't think there's a price Edmonton would be willing to pay right now. We don't really have the picks or prospects to burn.

All of these trades would make us hawks fans very happy. Almost as happy as trading seabrook for a bucket of pucks

As a Hawks fan, i love all of these besides the Regula one. but heres a stat for you coming personally from NHL 20 trade mechanic

Strome for Compher and a 3rd --- Colorado massively wins that one
Strome for Lindell --- Another win for the other team, also Cap wont allow it (But personally, Lindell is my favorite Dman in the league, id accept that in a heartbeat)
Strome for Bouchard --- Another massive win for the other team
Strome for Brodin ---- Another massive win for other team
Strome for Dobson --- Very close, but Islanders win that trade by inches
Strome for Labanc --- Another easy win for other team
Strome for Tuch --- Easy win for other team
Strome, Sikura, and 2nd for Sanheim --- Easy win for Philly
Strome, Regula, 2nd for Lindholm --- Just not even going to say it
Strome for Heinola and 2nd --- VERY Close, to the point to where Winnipeg doesnt accept when i offer it
Strome for Formenton and 1st --- Ottawa wins, but didnt accept trade when offered.

But to be fair, Stromes value in NHL 20 is through the roof while it shouldnt be if we are going off this years stats

I just dont think he fits into how colliton wants to play. hes not good enough at backchecking to keep up with the team defense scheme

100% agree. It has become clear to me in just these two games that Colliton doesn't like him because he doesn't play defense well enough. I just hope we can still get good value for him

That's cool. Strome isn't worth a first or Heinola to Winnipeg, so you can count the Jets out then.

I think they will if they decide to trade him. Hes got undeniable talent, hes just better suited on a team that plays big rather than fast

Agreed. But swap Strome for Saad in that deal and I'm in. Compher is a younger cheaper version of saad. Less goal scoring ability but still a very good defender and a good skater. Would be a perfect third line RW/C

I love compher but he's a mini version of what saad does. He doesn't have the offensive ability of Saad. Compher would be a great 3rd liner but trading Saad leaves a gaping hole in our first line and there is nobody else on the roster that can step up and play the first line RW position...and please don't suggest Suter

I'm for trading Strome at this point so we could use him to bring back a quality winger that better fits Colliton system. I've been with Strome fo so long but the emergence of Dach these playoffs as well as Strome's sub par play has opened my eyes. He doesn't fit our system at all. the hawks like to score of the rush, play fast, and like centers that play a 2 way game. Strome is none of that. If i'mStan I'm calling Winnipeg and trying to build a package around Strome for one of their wingers. I was talking to a WPG fan earlier and proposed Conner and Perrault for Strome, Dehaan, Nylander, and a 2nd. He was interested. If we can pull something off for Conner or Ehlers that's a home run move IMO. Obviously it gets tricky making a big trade within the division, but the hawks have the pieces to fulfill WPG's needs. We have a @C in strome and they are looking for a 2nd pair defender which dehaan could be. dehaan has looked strong these playoffs which could boost his value as well.

I think the trade target with Winnepeg does make sense but would be looking for one of their right wingers as the hawks are short of top 6 right wingers. Cat obviously plays the left side, and while he can play the right, Cat is not looking like himself and don't feel good about throwing him to his off-side. In fact, I was mulling over trading both Strome and Cat as they can generate a pretty big return.

I like those defensive lines and am leaning towards trading both De haan and Maatta.
