I have a feeling Deangelo won’t be going to a place as liberal as the Bay Area. I realize I’m probably exaggerating that aspect a ton but whatever. Also the Sharks don’t really need him anyway, they have Karlsson and Burns

Rumor is they are shopping Burns and LaBanc. If they move Burns they definitely will have room for ADA, even if he doesn't end up going to the Sharks, I'd look to move ADA while his value is highest. Plus we have Trouba making 8 million, Fox will get a huge raise in 2 years and Lundkvist on the way all righties.

DeAngelo is good, and the value here is actually pretty decent in my opinion, but as a Shark fan, I don’t want to see him on my team. I can’t imagine the sort of locker room tensions would rise with this guy and someone like Evander. And I just think he’s a bad person. But personal feelings aside, this doesn’t really make too much sense imo. San Jose already has Karlsson who doesn’t play defense and will eventually have Merkley make his way up who also doesn’t play defense. Even if we do get rid of Burns, I’m not too keen on overpaying a guy who just had a career year who will inevitably fall off stat-wise. I’d rather sign Vatanen or DeMelo in FA, who are better all around players than trade for DeAngelo.

I don't like Evander Kane. I'm not going to say I hate him, but I don't like him at all. But there's zero chance the Sharks would put him and Deangelo in the same locker room.

After seeing your post about how you are "90% sure the Rangers beat the Canes if there was no stoppage in play," not sure you are in any position to say anything is bad. Rangers had no chance in the first two games and with our best game yesterday they still got crushed, but yeah okay we could have beat them, sure!

Dude 90% of the plays went in our favor at the end of the year haha I’m not saying we should’ve won, but playoff hockey being playoff hockey, I’m pretty sure we beat you.

No right, if we remove 100% of any momentum involved, we get beaten BAD and that's what happened.

But, at the time of the break we had the hottest goalie in the league, the hottest goal scorer in the league and even our depth pieces were playing above their head

First off, I am a Rangers fan... not sure who this "you" is that you are referring to. I would love to know which series you were watching, the Rangers had some chances they did not finish Howden, Mika, Smith missing an open net and Chtyil being robbed, and yes Hank let in some softies, but other than 2 good periods in the 3rd game, the Rangers were massively outplayed. They couldn't gain entry into the Canes zone which led to dumping and chasing (which we could never get the puck), Quinn opted to change the lines that he stuck with for 40 plus games after the first game (which set this team back even worse), Power Play looked reminiscent of the Torts era where just setting up in the offensive zone was an accomplishment, had an AHL caliber 4th line and our big guns were non-existent. Rangers were not even in this series. Reminded me a lot of Rangers Devils 2006 series where Rangers got swept with a young inexperienced team.

If you think we will get more than a middle 6 player and a 2nd round pick for DeAngelo (due a huge payday)... keep overvaluing Rangers players, especially one who is disliked around the league, has been suspended for abusing officials and would be on his 4th team by age 24. Labanc had a bad year on the Sharks, as did most Shark players, have you even watched him play? Having a 3rd line that can actually create offense was the key to the Rangers making a 2014 Cup run, this is a 2 line team currently, barely that, with no sure fire forward prospects even close to making the team (Barron maybe?). Please feel free to enlighten me to the haul you think we will get for ADA and Lias who is a throw in that will never play for the Rangers again.
