Definite no from Winnipeg especially with that contract for Hamilton.

Yes, it would be a pretty easy no from Winnipeg. Hamilton would not start the converstion for Laine.

I do think the jets say yes if they win laff and that’s the only way they would, I feel like that contract has a slight risk attached to it. Also Laine likely gets more than 8.4 long term.

Totally disagree. The Jets would even consider it. Hamilton is not close to being worth the contact quoted.

Hamilton isn't the kind of defenseman the Jets need and is not anywhere close to consider moving Laine for.

Actually we need a good defensive defenseman like Slavin. Not an all offense, no defense defenseman like Hamilton. You seem to really like the short term thinking, panic trade, type deals.

Well slavin is a star. And Hamilton is a good defender. And it’s not that I’m a lover of short term solutions it’s just that we should draft our second line centre. In the mean time we need rentals

So, if we need rentals, why would you want Hamilton at 9.8, which is a ridiculous overpay, until he's 36? It would be a disaster having Hamilton under contract for that long and that amount, but absolutely moronic to give up Laine for that "privilege". If Chevy did that, he should be fired immediately.

Any length of time paying Hamilton that much it's too long. Necas would be okay to go after without Hamilton included, but he wouldn't require Laine being involved.

I’m not saying to pay Hamilton that much or that long. But you are underrating Hamilton.

Anything that Hamilton would accept is too much for too long and the Jets can't afford it. You are overrating him. There's a reason Hamilton has worn out his welcome on his 3rd team already.

Good conversation though. smile

If he didn’t get hurt he was gonna win the Norris. You seriously are underestimating him

Either way. He's too expensive, not what we need and not worth giving up Laine for. You are seriously over estimating his ability.

As you've been doing all along, you way overvalue any player that isn't a Jet and way undervalue any player that is a Jet. Plus it seems you don't understand contacts or the salary cap very well.

I have said like ten times. I agree that that is too long and too much for him. So I do understand the cap. And also laine is good and going to get better but the jets would be a much better team right now with Hamilton

Hamilton is only 27. The jets have a lot of young wingers. If we were to get a top 7 dman. I’d trade laine for that any day
