Barkov is obviously better than Monahan but he's not "Hanifin plus plus" better than him, going to disagree with that thought.

I don't think they'll trade Barkov, but if they did the package I put up there is huge. Two top 15~ picks in a deep draft and arguably the Flames best two forward prospects who haven't played in the NHL yet. Sure, maybe they want something more NHL ready, but the value is pretty huge.

He’s a top 10 center in the league. He’s gonna take an overpay to get him and if he’s made available they’ll be a bidding war for some teams. That package above isn’t gonna get it done. Barkov is arguably a top 5 C, there isn’t anything elite going back, not an elite prospect not a top 5 pick. If he signed an offer sheet it would be in the 4 1st rd range and that’s the basis for the trade to start imo.
