I don't see any reason for the Wild to do this.
First, we'll need about $7M each for Kaprizov and Fiala extensions, making this trade puts a big handicap on our ability to do that.
Second, the organization is really high on Kahkonen. He's probably a year or two out yet, but my point is I think Murray is more of a long-term solution in net and we need someone for the short-term (like a Raanta or Fleury).
Third, the goalie market is pretty ridiculous this offseason and I'm sure we can find a goalie who is willing to sign for a year or two (maybe a Holtby looking to prove himself?). That way we don't have to take on Johnson or give up picks.
Oh and we already have way too many blue liners who belong in the NHL, so Johnson would become a $3M press box seat warmer.
