Didn't you just do this one? Montreal doesn't have the assets required to entice the Jets to even think about moving Laine.

Not even close. As I said Montreal doesn't have the assets to start a conversation for Laine.

You don’t seem to understand how good danault is

Sure, he's a low end 2C that is 27 and averages 42 points a year and is only under contract for one more year.

You don't seem to understand how good Laine is or have a very good grasp on how contracts work. A one great rental has very little value in a deal for Laine when the Jets have no incentive to trade him.

Danault is a top line centre. He’s just bad on the power play. Danault is a star

Funny. Danault's stats don't support that in any way. Laine has more career points at 22 than Danault has at 27. Danault is meh. He may be worth a look for a player of similar value on the Jets, but he isn't worth a second glance in relation to Laine.

He’s one of the best defensive players in the league and he produces every thing even strength. You don’t use analytics do you. Jesus.

It appears you prefer panic trades. Danault as a one year rental, producing 40 points a year does not return a young first line winger. You can believe the grass is always greener somewhere else, but try to look at things without you're heavy bias Laine.

Would any team give up a first line winger who produced the 5th most goals ever by the time he was 20 for a meh 2C that is 27 and has only one year on his contract?

I'll I'm saying is you couldn't be more wrong. Laine is an infinitely superior player to Danault and the Jets would never consider that trade and would be a far worse team if they did.

No. You just have an absurd bias and hatred against Laine that has no basis in reality. You ask any 100 unbiased people or NHL GM's who is better by light years and all 100 replies come back Laine.

I can see that your only agenda is to try and bash Laine based on your unfounded hatred, so I'll leave you to your fantasy world. I'd prefer to deal with reality.

I love laine. I just know that at this point danault is better. Ask anyone who uses analytics

I'd rather have the player that will be light years better for the next 10 years in Laine. Ask anyone who follows hockey.

In most cases I agree. But the jets are gonna have cap he’ll soon. Let’s get a second line centre. I’m not saying a one for one deal. But we need danault more than laine

Danault apparently loves Montreal anyways, so he'll probably just stay there.
