First off A++++ for correctly putting Zetterberg on IR instead of LTIR. You may be the first Detroit ACGM to do it the right way.

Not sure what Ottawa gets out of the deal. A 7th dman and a lottery ticket for a cheap 2/3 center.

Like the Minn trade. I think they buy him out.

The Carolina trade?? Not sure why they'd make it. Ehn is the epitome of a meh player. Dzingel can score. Maybe to save 2.5 mil in cap??

OTT mostly gets a size guy. Even if Rasmussen doesn't pan out, he will be an NHL player. That type of size doesn't stay out of the lineup. His peak is dropping, but he will be a tierney type player within long. Bowey plays the right side, which is something OTT could do with.

Who buys who out? MIN prob buys out Rask over Helm here. Dubnyk is what DET needs as a transition goalie.

Carolina trade: Dzingel is a healthy scratch i believe, 3M+ sitting on the bench, and had a bad year. Carolina is becoming a very strong team and needs to weaponize their cap space. Ehn might not play either... maybe a 13th F... but I don't see many other teams absorbing this contract. DET could add slightly. I've used Hirose in the return of this deal before.

Pretty sure Tierney can fetch a 1st. He's solid defensively, can play a lot of minutes and consistently puts up 40-50 points a season. I'd rather get the 1st than Rasmussen.

The other thing I'd move him for is to move out Zaitsev.

Something like Tierney + Zaitsev for Nielsen + Oilers 2021 2nd

Minn buys out Dubnyk. They go with Stalock and Kahkonen...

Yawn......and Zetterberg goes to LTIR on the 1st day of the season after his contract is traded to say Toronto who will be such Club desires to replace such Player. It's such a dumb distinction for a team not near the cap....but some people are just anal about minutia.

A+ for analness in pointing out a distinction that doesn't matter on a non-cap maxed team.

So they should acquire a key component of the league's worst PK?

Wings decline all these deals, they are rebuilding and none of this helps that rebuild. Tierney is the best piece coming back and he's a 3C on a bad team

Tierney is what Rasmussen will be a 3C on a bad team, So Detroit declines. No need to make any of these trades they're bad for Detroit. Glendening with 50% retention should give us a ate 2nd or 3rd round pick at the very least.
