WPG fans, what would it take for the hawks to get Ehlers or Conner in a deal revolving around Strome. I'm probably way off here so don't crucify me in the comments. Seems like a move like this fills a lot of the jets needs, just not sure value wise how much more the hawks need to add. Would be willing to do it for Ehlers too, just heard from some other Jets fans they would prefer it be Conner over Ehlers

Well, from a first glance I'd say it's not enough. And the main reasons behind this is because I don't know how good DeHaan is (and he's rather injury prone, no?) and Nylander doesn't seem to be a guy who would fit in on the Jets. He doesn't seem to be one of those hardworking guys that just buys in.
But the idea of Strome, a capable D and a good young player is probably what it would take. I just don't think it'd work with those two guys.

Yeah, you are way off on your valuation. There is nothing there the Jets would take in exchange for Connor or Ehlers.

Jost, Namestikov, Bowers or move PEB up. They have options.

WPG declines because if that’s what it took, COL would kill the Saad trade and better it.

This whole Murphy and Kap idea needs to die. The hawks don't need Kap. Thats not saying he's a bad player. Its saying the Hawks dont get better by getting worse at their weaknesses. We NEED to keep Murphy

***EDIT*** Did anyone else notice how freaking well Dach played last night?!?! He was awesome and aggressive. He played more than either Toews or Kane.

What Center is Colorado gonna offer to WPG to make it worth it. Kadri? COL fans are already worried trading Compher leaves a hole at center, trading Kadri + is even worse

Dach is going to be a superstar. the kid flies around the ice and is so strong on the puck in the offensive zone. He looks bigger, faster, and stronger. His defensive game has come a long way, and Colliton has noticed because Dach is now getting PK time. Dach didn't just play more than Toews andKane, also played more than Mcdavid, Draisitle, and RNH. Led all forwards in TOI. 23 mins and some change. 4 points in 3 games, would love to see him get a goal next game.

I was critical of his game 2. NOT because he was playing poorly (he got 2 points) , but I didn't see the effort to beat people to the puck in game 2 like I saw in game 3. He was the best player on the ice. @HatterTParty What did you think of Dach's game last night?

Leafs really can't give a Dman (in this case Dermot), just the add another Dman. And to. want Kapanen and more cap to the Leafs....doesn't fit the Leafs.
Too much cap going the Rangers who need to shed cap.

I’m not worried about losing a middle 6 C like Compher if it nets Saad and even less so if it nets Connor. You have to give to get. Kadri isn’t part of a deal to the Jets, Newhook would be a possibility for Connor because of how friendly his contract is.

That’s your opinion. Bednar loves Bowers, and even if none of those guys works it’s not like you are looking for a top line C. Also fwit by TOI against DAL 11-41-83 was the 3rd line.

everything here is someones opinion. no one has bowers penciled in on their 2020-21 lineups, let alone being the 3c next year. it could happen but is unlikely.

that's the 4th line. they deserved those minutes too, they were electric yesterday. still need a 3rd line. jost doesn't look like the answer either he usually has the lowest ice time among forwards. he doesn't have bednars trust.

Sorry in advance folks.

Well, to get the obvious out of the way, his defensive game has been on point, as was expected. He looks strong, and while I don’t necessarily think he looks faster, he certainly looks like he is putting in more effort. He has been a thorn in the side of the oilers defense, which is just as bad as ours.

Now for the part no one wants to hear. With dach, all praise seems to be reserved for intangibles. For some, it’s statistics, others analytics. For Dach, it’s that he looks stronger and faster. Period. End of story. For me, Dach still can’t, and won’t, shoot for ****. His passing has been okay, but I’ve honestly expected a little better. I still don’t like how he tries to stick handle through people like Kane did early in his career. Essentially, he’s still way too predictable. Used to hate Kane back then. Another thing people keep telling me is he’s good at the netfront. Here’s the problem: has he once even tried to screen the goalie or even been used as such during the PP? Not that I’ve seen, so that’s a waste. Finally, and this one really, REALLY, pissed me off, his physical game. I have argued that he has no physical game whatsoever, and I do stand by that. So what happens? He nails Tyler Ennis and the whole of hawks fandom praises the Saskatoon messiah. WHAT?! He’s 5’9’’!!!!!!!!! That’s praise worthy?! Pretty sure I’m more impressed with darian pilon at 5’10’’ knocking out Dach then Dach on Ennis. The second this kid actually lays out a guy who’s 6’2’’ or better, then we’re talking.

Look, simply put, Dach to me is like being a cubs fan with sox fans criticizing me for not liking the Sox (btw I hate baseball). I’m never going to like the kid simply because I don’t like his playing style and I don’t like how he’s used. I don’t like that he’s a center, and if he’s the answer to post toews 1C, you’re asking the wrong question. I don’t talk about Dach much on capfriendly anymore because no one wants to hear it and I certainly couldn’t care less about him.
