Started before that, I mean Murray was shaky this season and he still went with him to start the series. Constantly overplays players who suck like Marleau, Sheary and of course Johnson, refuses to admit his mistakes, separated Sid and Zucker even tho they dominated together, separated Guentzel and Geno even though they were amazing together earlier this season...

Right, signing Johnson made the D core way worse, the PP (which normally is a Pens strength) stinks big time and a guy like Pettersson, who's the Pens 2nd best d-man after Marino in this series doesn't even do PK, where has JJ who's, you know, JJ, plays big PK minutes and Letang who's just not good also plays important PK minutes

Yknow who's also good on pk, ruhwedel. You know who's good of pp, marino. So the strengths that both jj and shultz provide can be replaced by those two. I'd sit both.

It's a classic symptom of a coach which's message has gone stale, or even worse, of a coach who has lost his dressing room. Constantly overplays his personal favorite players, refuses to change his mind, etc...

I feel like Sullivan has been good with roster management in the past , he’s not afraid to play younger guys and usually puts his star players in a position to succeed. Has that changed this season? I don’t watch the pens often.
