I don't see how the Flyers take on salary for a winger. Add in that he's years removed from being a real scoring threat (and it coincides with him no longer starting the vast majority of his shift in the offensive zone and shooting well above his career average).

We need to shed salary to get a RHD under team control past next season, a backup goalie and ...maybe... an inexpensive 3RW depending on how they feel about the players we have under contract.

If we're taking an LD in the early third I'd much prefer Anton Johannesson (and probably quite a few other guys) or an RD like Brock Faber
