I know I'm bias, but he's looking FAR better than either Jack Hughes or KK. Last night was the best game I've seen him play. Which to be fair...also needs to be factored in as a prisoner of the moment thought. One game doesn't make a career, but HOLY cow. That 19 year old kid has a high ceiling!

If he could win more tha 20% of his faceoffs I would say he’s our number 1 center of the future.

I was hoping for Dach in the draft. I'm pretty happy with the way things worked out though. Byram and Newhook currently looks like a better combo than Dach and ,say, Harley (IMO). Can't go wrong either way though. Thanks Ottawa, and thanks to all the teams that passed on Newhook too!

Its hard to argue against the combo. Newhook could be the steal of the draft. Time will tell.

Could you imagine Dach and Newhook?!?! Wow. COL already has their defense set.

Looking down the road in about 5ish years, I really think Dach's emergence as a top-flight NHL center makes it more important that Chicago be patient with Strome. If you can work out just a few of his issues and keep the right kind of wingers and blueline support around him, they're a hell of a 1-2 punch to be working with. Even more so if Toews comes back on a cheap deal to be a short-term #3C after his big payday expires.

Agreed. I was very anti-Hughes and believe I was right. I was hoping for Dach or Cozens in that draft

Bowen Byram wasnt that impressive this year. It would be smart for the Avs to try and move him whole his value is still high. Dont think that gets you Dach though.

Well yeah, this post is just to show how crazy it would be if Dach fell to Colorado.
