If Kahun takes that deal he needs to fire his agent ASAP

i was borrowing it from a previous post but both players have a value of about a 3rd. Leafs save cap and fill an area of need. i think you are being dramatic... no need to overreact. lol

i mean there is more room to give him a raise. wasn't sure what an accurate cap hit would be

explain. Buffalo needs center depth or someone to bridge the gap till Cozen is ready to be a 2c. Leafs need RHD and they save cap space. explain why these dont happen lol

Johansson has much more value than Jensen(though the contract might be something they have an interest in) but I think WSH needs to add to that trade.

Buffalo really liked Kahun in the few games he played for us, I don't think we trade him for a 3C at best.

yeah honestly I see no issues with any of these trades. Jensen is a cheap, effective RHD. hes not a true top pairing guy like what the leafs need, but hes better than their current options.

Rielly-Jenson
Muzzin-Holl

is a better top 4 than what they have now

Buffalo would probably decline they would probably rather move Ristolainen, Montour or Miller.

Eller would be a massive upgrade at 2c for Buffalo. kahun is great but Eller helps Buffalo more today and fills the need that the franchise has. why would Washington add? 4-5 RHD > bottom 6 winger. even if thats equal value take into consideration AJ is coming off a serious injury and has a higher cap hit

i think there is more risk in Washington taking AJ after him being injured. no guarantee that he reaches his prior numbers especially since Washington doesnt have matthews. i agree its a win win.

they still could make those moves and upgrade the roster. this trade would be a solid start but they need a lot of work to be good imo

I think 3-3.5M would be an accurate estimation at that term. I think that's reasonable for a 2 year deal, but he had a 37pt rookie season and played at a 45pt pace over 82 this year.

Kahun is young can play all 3 forward positions they shouldn’t be traded players that can actually score when they have 4 RHD on the roster.

Kuhun is great but so is Eller. idk why every Sabre fan keeps saying the same thing. you could trade for Eller then trade Montour for Tuch or someone the fill the Kuhun void but does it the same or better. then you have a solution for 2c and wing.

I politely disagree. Jensen is a solid shutdown guy. You don't need a dman that racks up points, you've already got all the offence in the world.

Trade saves you $0.9 mil/year, and gets you a cheap guy that can play on the second pairing until Lilly is ready.

Not the sexiest trade in the world, but certainly not a bad one.

Montour doesn’t have that much value this trade would be really bad for Buffalo. You can put Kahun or Johansson at 2c and will put up the same or better point production than Eller.

so you'll put Kuhun at 2c when he hasn't played or produce at C? that's a great idea. the main issue with this site is people never want to give up fair value to get good value or they just assume that you can plug someone in and itll work? MOJO was a nightmare at C and Kuhun never played C in the NHL. or hasnt played C well enough to become a regular. so you'll just start the season playing him there and if he fails youll miss the playoffs and Eichel will be thrilled ,right?

The Sabres would definitely benefit from adding a player like Eller would be a very good 3C / LW option. At the expense of Kahun the cost is too high. Kahun provides more value to the organization then Eller does.

if my team needed a cheap RHD and i was cap strapped yeah. Eller is a C not a bottom 6 winger but i guess your point is all the same. yeah if Ceci is on my top pairing and i had a young C or in this case LW that could replace him i would smile. its just logical and not short sited. sometimes removing bias helps to think clearer

Yeah I’m sure Ellers 40 point will magically make the Sabres a playoff contender. Buffalo isn’t trading Kahun when they have too many RHD on the team.
