I have followed Virtanen for a long-time including his minor hockey days and he has the potential to be a really dynamic power forward with his skating and shooting abilities and his game is on the uptrend. He was actually the first pick in the entire Western Hockey League bantam draft and is a local kid and do not think the Canucks will trade him after they gave up too early on both Cam Neely and Rick Vaive years ago.

Well the fact that they scratched him and he has some apparent attitude issues it’s extremely possible. You seriously cannot put Virtanen in the “untouchables” category for Vancouver. He’s not with EP or Hughes. I’m not saying he’s 100% forsure gonna get moved but it’s possible

the media came up his so called attitude problems (no real problems was having a career year) IF jake was traded he would fetch more otherwise why trade him in my opinion

I agree. I don’t think they should trade him either. He’s a good player and I agree that the attitude issues are probably overblown.
