Can't see the Wild touching that trade

I don't think this is the play. Byfield's gonna be great but Lafrenière is on another level, whoever gets the 1st overall pick isn't trading it. What they'll likely do is trade Ehlers, either for that 2C, or a top 4 dman and maybe move wheels to 2C. Also there's no motivation for the wild to do that trade, Dumba's worth more than expendable pieces, something significant would have to be included to entice them to deal Dumba.

Not Ehlers. Connor has been terrible I would rather trade him

Connor had 38 goals this year and over a point per game, I'm not seeing the terrible. Ehlers having 3 slightly better games now doesn't make him the better player. Connor would certainly get them a better return though so I guess there's that to consider

Yeah he would get a better return, but a lot of Jets fans knows that Ehlers is the superior player overall, he does alot more then score tap ins like Kyle does. He has been horrible without Scheifele to do all the work for him

Byfield has the highest ceiling in this draft. Trading Ehlers is just dumb, and I probably wouldn't trade Copp (one of 2 for two way forwards on the team, with Ehlers) or Samberg (one of my favorite specs) for Dumba

Jets would never do that dumba trade. Samberg will be a beast and Copp is very good
