MTL wouldve taken this trade 2-3 years ago... Forget it now. This contract is too big and the player too old

JT’s contract is too big and he’s no you g enough to warrant MTL taking this. I think MTL would rather keep Petry and the other assets. Marner could work if MTL gave up a bigger package. Brook+ could be added.

This trade is terrible! Not to mention Tavares has no interest in going to Montreal lol JT didn't even give them an interview, I don't see him waiving his NMC to put on that jersey.

Values wise, Habs get a good deal. Don't see why the leafs would do this. JT would haunt them till the end.

He’s pretty solid on his own end despite that. He just plays a lot and likes to be involved in the play. We never really rage on him defensively that often.
