Description

Signing Vatanen will give us stability on the right side of our second pairing. Jensen has proven to not be capable of top four duty and we need some consistency in that spot. Jensen gets moved for a pick to free up money.

Crawford gets signed to tandem with Samsonov for a year, with Vanecek getting in a few games throughout the season as well. Ideally the starts get split 45 for Samsonov, 33 for Crawford and 4 for Vanecek.

McMichael is a possibility to play, but it might be beneficial for him to go back for one more year. He's a candidate to be Canada's WJC captain and will hopefully develop more dynamic skill in London.
