Marner for Arvidsson and Ellis is the main part of the trade. I definitely think NSH would need to trade more picks (Probably a 1st) to get in the ballpark.

considering Marner’s contract, which doesn’t allow you to chase a big fish in the free agency frenzy, the value seems a bit lopsided in favour of Toronto. IMO, Arvidsson, Ellis>Marner and his contract

Interesting, I showed this to a NSH fan and he thought it was lopsided toward NSH because the salary trade off was about the same and marner is still only 23.

This trade is legit close. Like actually a consideration.
