As much as I like Marner, he looks out of place . The 3 games I have seen. Nylander who I thought has looked timid the last 2 cup runs, actual looks like he has shown some spark. Marner has shown good defensive posture but offensively he looks lost.

Ah yes, Florida trades their RD to acquire offence, and turn themselves in Toronto of the south, BECAUSE THEY'LL HAVE A HUGE HOLE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THEIR DEFENCE.

Seems counter productive, especially given that they're looking to cut payroll.

As a CBJ fan Marner was so good in game 2 but not 1 or 3. I bet he is not traded for at least another year to give Robertson a chance to develop more before taking his spot

Marner is still top-10 right winger in the league. Id rather just see him traded to be honest. And yeah, thats the price for him.. at least that top pairing D.

Yeah...I don't disagree that he's a top 10 right winger in the league, I'm just not sure why we'd think that he'd be more engaged in Florida, and why Florida would want to dig that huge hole on their back end and take on salary to make that deal? All of the sudden their D is a heck of a lot worse (which, considering how Bob has played this season, shouldn't be a thing that they're looking to do), and they won't be able to fix their back end.
