Hawks probably do it only if we trade Strome.

Not a huge fan of Faksa, but he might have more value to someone else. If we had another deal in place for someone to take him after this, Hawks might accept.

No matter the team, the value I'd want for the guy is 2nd+3rd. I think his defensive prowess is worth at least that much. In this case I needed a D and I like Määttä, so he seems like a decent option, probably available rather cheap.

Mete could also replace the pick, not sure if he fits your needs though.

Maatta is that good imo. He's slow yeah, but he's good in his own end, helped to turn our PK around this year and is obviously an elite sniper from the blueline (see Games 2 and 3 against Edmonton). Chicago could probably afford to retain 500k-$1 million if it meant getting a deal done

At the start of last season Avs do that in a heart beat, now they pass. 34 w/3yrs at $6.5M left knowing how much his production dropped this year and the FA’s COL will have to sign, not a good fit.

Actually it's only two years. COL has the cap space to manage with it, and the cost is fairly cheap. He's still a 50 point player, likely much more in a more offensive environment.

Yeah I just glanced at but you’re right about 2 years. Don’t get me wrong the value is definitely fair, I just have concerns about his age and eventual skill erosion (something this year may have be indicative of) fitting in with the Avs style of play.

I think Dallas could find a team in the east or out of the division to send Radulov to for that package.

Not many contending team in the east that can afford Radulov, unfortunately. Had to make some compromises.
