I think the Marner deal is pretty close, I'm not sure they would retain a mill because CAT is going to be looking for a payday in 3 years and not sure if boqvist is two or three years but I think if it was a half mill they would do it

No on Winnipeg's part. The Jets have no need for De Haan.

Stars have no need for Maatta. And I don’t see them trading their stud defensive center to a division rival

As much as I would love a deal without retention, I feel like retaining on this deal would be worth it. It's all circumstance, mainly because most gms probably think he's slightly overpaid and if we can take a small downgrade on wing for a upgrade on Rd while shedding about 3.5 mill I would say it's definitely worth it

This is a tough one. Just the idea of retaining on Marner in general. On the one hand...Hes the 7th highest paid player in the entire NHL. I like Marner alot and would heavily consider a Marner trade, but he's still not a top 30 player in my book. Hes 18th in points this year, but that excludes defense, goalies, and #1 C's like Bergeron, Barkov, Toews, ROR, etc... that are all better than him. On the other hand TOR would most definitely pay his signing bonus which for budget minded teams...is a BIG deal.

Flyers decline. As much as I like Strome, just don't need any centers and Sanheim is a big part of the D-core.

Hard pass on the Flyers trade. He is a major piece of our defensive core and is showing up big in these round robin games.

No to the TOR trade. While Marner would be a great add, the DeBrincat-Dach-Kane line has been good and since the Hawks already moved Jokiharju they shouldn't move another good RHD. Nylander has been underwhelming and I would not trust him on a line with Dach and Kane

No on Marner. We shouldn't be entertaining trading Boqvist period. This kid is going to be an absolute stud...remember he's 19. I'm okay looking at a trade for Cat, but he alone wouldn't get Marner. Additionally, I wouldn't want Marner's cap hit.

I saw right after seeing yours. Makes a little more sense if moving Lindell like he was doing. Still several guys I’d rather have over Maatta. Personal preference
