Back when he was in the Rangers organization, I always thought of Ryan Graves as a Dan Girardi type player. Those are hard to come by nowadays with the new type of play in the league. I hope Colorado holds onto him long term.

Xd. I was more thinking about Price megadeals, but yeah I’ve seen some Drouin to COL deals. The creator isn’t a Habs fan anyway and they’re not THAT common. Anyway, even if they were, I can’t do anything about them. At least this trade looks 3000 % more reasonable than most offers I’ve seen involving Drouin lmao. If you really hate Drouin/Price to COL trades that much, I’d recommend putting repeat offender in your ignore list or something lol.

COL shouldn’t deal Graves IMO (he can be signed for cheap and he can be very useful for their D core) and MTL should try and see if Drouin sparks with Kotkaniemi instead of Suzuki. In the small sample size I’ve seen with those two together, Drouin has looked pretty good. I think Drouin is his own worse enemy and that he really wants to succeed in MTL, but that he has trouble developing chemistry with the players he’s put with (he needs to play with a 2-way guy (so that he doesn’t have to worry about defense that much) that will let Drouin be the creative puck handler on the line while remaining an offensive threat imo and KK is perfect). I just think he doesn’t have chemistry with Suzuki.

Yeah @Stanley_Cup_To_Manhattan is a reasonable dude anyway that I always enjoy seeing on this site and he’s nothing like those Price for Girard and a first type of CF users whatsoever haha. I’ve put those a couple of Habs fans in my list tbh and it’s mainly those that put up multiple Hab AGMs with 7+ trades with the same unrealistic, NHL 20 type offers. Nothing against them, just not my cup of tea.

IMO Price and Gallagher will 100 % retire as Habs. Especially Price. No way in hell he gets dealt. He is loved here and always plays well for us (his stats don’t always show it since our D sucks). IDK why some fans want to trade Price. Likely the same people that were mad at the Weber trade and kept trading him in AGMs lol.

Habs need Drouin more than Graves with Romanov around next season
Graves is 2nd pairing guy with little offensive production
