One of my favorite players so I'm probably not the best judge here, but I wouldn't move him unless there was a huge payback. I think we can extend him at $6.5 (same as Schenn's deal) and he'll provide value for that contract. If we're talking about realistic trade value, the last year of his deal can't really return much more than a late 1st and maybe a team's 3rd/4th-best prospect so I'd rather not even bother.

I doubt the Blues want to hurt the team too much while they’re contenders, but I wonder if Armstrong will try to use Schwartz to move up high in the draft. Is Schwartz + 25-31st + Barbashev enough to move up to 6th or if any Buffalo fan is reading this 8th?

Yes I have lol, I can’t even fathom how good Rossi will be after being mentored by Ryan O’Reilly for 3 years. I think he’ll be decently impactful on the wing next year as well given his age/maturity.
