Haha, all we hear whenever Gaudreau to Buffalo comes up is how the Sabres are loaded on LW already, then all of a sudden here is a proposal for a different Flames LW and lo and behold suddenly Olofsson can play his off wing. I know I've suggested that more than once.

Maybe, just maybe, there is a difference between trading a bunch of assets for a high end player with only 2 years left on his term when the position isn't a big need for the team and trading for a depth player without giving up much?

Like, for example, i dont think starting goalie is a huge need for us with Ullmark, so i wouldnt trade big assets for carey price, but if you were to tell me rantaa is avaiable for cheap, yes i would want him.

Yeah, I get the difference, it's just funny that none of your LWs could play RW apparently until now.

Also, we'll keep Mang. He's got something like 17 points in 17 games since moving into the top 6.

just out of curiousity, who is the last NHL player to get 2 first round picks, with no conditions on them (and add in a prospect).

Not saying philly does it, but there are worse trade offers every 5 minutes on this site.

he has had a nice little streak for a while, 13 points in his last 12 games, or almost 1/3 of his career points at age 24 due a new contract.

Every McDavid/Eichel trade on here? lol

If Flyers were in a rebuild mode this might be a trade that would be hard to swallow but considered. They are a cup contender this year and should be in the mix again next year, you don't trade your first line center where they are at this stage.

No, in real life. What player has been traded for 2 1sts with no conditions or protection on the picks. Phil Kessel 11 years ago?
