So the Avs trade a top 4 dman, their 2C, and a future top 4 dman for a winger? What planet does that make sense?

I wouldn’t do it if I were the Avs but Rutherford would be crazy to pass up that deal. It’s improve our team instantly

avs decline. Guentzel is good but the goal is to add a 2nd line forward but swap out their 2C for a winger and gut their Dcore

Awful for Colorado. Top 4 LHD and 2C is more valuable than a top 6 winger alone, let alone together. What a massive fleecing this would be for Pittsburgh. The 2nd does nothing to help Colorado win now.
