IF...PIT decided to tear it down. They should TRULY tear it down. Retain 50% cap. Get MAX picks/prospects. Once they lose Crosby...they're already out of the playoffs. It's better to be DET getting tons of high end picks then MIN continuously drafting in the teens.

LAK trade for Staal/Staal waives 2.5%
Pitt trades Crosby and NYR still have all 1OA, Kappo, Kravtov , Miller etc 0%.

If pitts actually blew it up and moved sid or Malkin id banish them to the western conference for sure.

I find it incredible how there’s certain truths to “banishing your players that are highly skilled to the other conference. It’s kinda scary how that’s so true. Supposedly NYR had much better offers for Talbot from teams like Buffalo, but because they’re Eastern conference, the worse offer was taken.” Luckily Gorton doesn’t follow Sather in this regard, but it would be Pitt call and man even if it’s a good trade for Pens, there’d be SO MUCH backlash.
