You forgot LAK, Det or Ott, who have the tools to trade up.

Only OTT does I think, if they offer both the 3rd and 5th picks. Even then I don't see any team giving up Lafreniere if they win the lotto.

I know the fans of every other team in the league are also sick of EDM getting 1st overall picks, but I'm a Canucks fan too so there's extra incentive for me to root against it.

Columbus, no!!!!!

c'mon the Metro already sucks.
Let him go to the west. Minnesota is my preference,
then
Florida
Nashville
Jets
Rangers
CLB / TML loser
Oilers
Pens

Fair enough. I’m absolutely going to be rooting for Edmonton! Lafreniere and McDavid would be sick!

A french connection line of Laf and Dubois would be pretty great for CLB. Fun to watch.

NSH has only ever had 1 pick in the top 3 of any draft...and that was their first year when they drafted Legwand. I really hope Nashville gets it. All of the other teams have drafted all-star forwards in the past or even recent years. Nashville has never done this, so I hope they get the chance.

I won't be heartbroken at all if they get it.

I might be biased here but I think the Jets are up there for the most deserved the hockey gods have frowned upon us ever since July 1st 2019.
Ben chiarot gone.
Tyler Myers gone.
Jacob trouba gone
Brandon Tanev gone.

Patrik Laine and Kyle Connor sit out all camp for contracts.

Dustin Byfuglien doesn’t show up on day 1 of camp, his money screws us over all year long.

Bryan little takes a full on slap shot to the side of the head in the first month of the season and is done for the rest of the regular season, and his career looks to be over.

2nd most man games lost in the league.

We actually would have won #1 overall already if this was a normal season.

Game 1 of the playoffs our best player playoffs end in a very controversial way.

One of our other best players leave because of a dirty slash in the hand.

Another depth player leaves.

Our player gets shot in the face and leaves a nasty trail of blood that he is able to come back.

We could use some luck.

What’s mtls offer that some of these teams can’t refuse? I still believe it’s going to take a kk or Suzuki or Romanov to start the conversation, and a drouin or domi type and a secondary prospect along with a couple protected firsts in next 3 years

I really hope he goes to Florida so that there’s some life pumped into that franchise.

the Metro. We have enough competition in the metro. If Columbus was in any other division, I would have no issue.

There are only 2 benefits of Edmonton winning.
1. It highlights the farcical nature of the lottery and maybe causes some positive change.
2. It puts MASSIVE pressure on the Oilers, because if that roster doesn't win a cup they have MASSIVELY screwed up and the fanbase would melt down.

The counter-argument is the fact the team got to draft Laine. How many spots did they jump in the lotto to get that pick? But I like WPG a lot, I'd be happy if they got the pick this year.

Well I mean they went on a 5 game winning streak that year to finish 6th worst or whatever, so I would say they deserved it for not tanking, kinda like how the kings moved up this year when they went on a big winning streak at the end of the year

It doesn’t have to be just picks... not that I would do it but it could be something built around 2ovr and turcotte. Again I don’t think I would make that trade though. Maybe a madden plus
