Hard pass on the Detroit trade.
That might get just Veleno, definitely doesn't get just Zadina, and your valuations are wildly off if you believe it would get both.
Yamamoto is a great player, he seems to fit well in Edmonton's system, best to keep him there as his value to the oilers is higher than his value to anyone else.

Also getting rid of Russell costs way more than a 3rd.

Yamamoto was getting a ppg. Zadina was getting 0.5ppg.

Puljujarvi just had a great season. Veleno just had a disappointing season.

I actually thought I was overpaying and I'm not an Oilers fan.

Vastly different linemates when comparing Zadina to Yamamoto. Yamamamoto rarely played without 2 of, McDavid, Draisaitl or RNH on his line.
Zadina's frequent linemates, Luke Glendening, Val Filpula and Frans Nielsen...

Consider also that Zadina and Veleno are 1 year younger than Yamamoto, Zadina's d+1 and d+2 seasons were considerably better than Yamamoto. Veleno's D+1 and 2 seasons are looking weaker, but he is working on some specific areas of his game. The offensive play massively improved in the AHL over the season and was reflected on the scoresheet by the end of the year.

This kind of seems like borderline trolling of Wings fans. I mean "Veleno just had a disappointing season?" a 19-year-old in the AHL that had 11 goals, 12 assists for 23 points in 54 games. TRADE HIM! Disappointing season, we can have that on our 17-54-5 team. We need to immediately get better by getting a 21-year-old who has played 53 NHL games and produced 31 points, a 29-year-old who is gonna be so much fun to see how well he plays when not with McDavid or Draisaitl, and Jesse Puljujarvi who is 22-year-old played int 139 NHL games for 17 goals, 20 assists, and 37 points.

Yea, Yzerman I kind of gave you this team so go ahead and just throw in both first-round picks from two years ago. Jesse had 24 goals and 29 assists in the Finnish Elite league. Zadina doesn't seem like he is getting any better.

Yamamoto looks so goos I wouldnt move him. Velano is gonna be a good 2 way guy but I dont think he becomes a stud. Maxes out as 2nd center maybe. Zadina looks ok but he isnt as dynamic or as good a skater as yama is. He's skilled , he'll be a good pro but idk if he lives up to his draft position. He seems terribly passive with the puck so hopefully more time fixes that. I hate kassian and who knows about pool party but both teams say no I think

Veleno actually had a really bad start to the year and played way better after WJC. The trade doesn’t make sense for either team. Kassian is worth more to a contender and Yamamoto appears to have great chemistry with Draisaitl. Detroit is really lacking in quality center prospects and Zadina is looking really good on a offensive inept team.
