They have enough good cap pieces they can trade to try to resign Lehner or another goalie. Still have a great team! - I will try to adjust it to see if I can make it work,

There traded Statsny to Buffalo (they need a number 2 centre badly) and resigned Lehner.

Number 2 centre is now a weakness for Vegas but they have Glass, Roy, Stephenson, Cousins who could try out that spot and maybe Tuch?

I don't know if Buffalo would trade the 38OA for one year of Stastny who is kind of a cap dump in a flat cap world at 6.5M...They are not in a position to trade for rentals even tho it could be a nice acquisition...Maybe a 3rd or you add a pick/prospect to make that deal worth it for Buffalo

Buffalo would be interested in Stastny, but not for a 2nd rounder. They have a 4th available this year. Since you are trading for cap space and don’t have many options that’s the best I would offer.
