Honestly, as a jets fan. I’d enjoy seeing him end up in Minnesota. That’s my ideal place for him to go. But I’d obviously love for him to come to wpg. I 100% agree with this list.

I agree here. Switch Columbus and Winnipeg tho. I’d also have Florida in best case scenario they probably need him for attendance and get out of the “bubble for life” label. My only issue is it would make the Atlantic division very strong

My only issue with Florida is that I feel like he’d just go to waste there. The organization is terrible, I’d rather see him end up in one of Pit, EDM or Toronto over Florida tbh. Even if they get lafreniere, their attendance likely won’t change at all. They already have superstars in barkov, huberdeau. I also don’t mind Columbus being in best cast scenario. I don’t mind swapping them and wpg haha

this is coming from my point of view, a sabres fan, so obviously i wouldnt want laffy on an atlantic division team hence why i wouldn’t put florida in the best case scenario

Im starting to think if he goes to Toronto they may not even need to address the blue line. Just score 95 goals every game

I don’t understand why soo many people hate on oilers. Yes they won multiple lotteries but most of those years weren’t great years. Hall has been moved twice since. Yak was huge set back. Nuge as happy as I am to have him isn’t a typical first overall player. Mcdavid is the only one that worked out as advertised. Can blame past management for a lot which is fair but that doesn’t mean the need to hate the idea of oilers winning it. Laf with mcdavid would be really fun for hockey fans to watch.

Nah they got a bright future, a solid D behind him and Kaprizov, Fiala, Kunin, Boldy etc. Nobody likes living in Minny but the team will be awesome with him

Get Laf and try to flip Huberdeau for Slavin or Werenski. That’d be a real good team

I would absolutely hate it if the Oiler's won, but if it were any other team in their position, I'd be pretty okay with it. It was a joke that they and Pittsburgh had to even play for a playoff spot, so as much as it's a bummer that Pittsburgh, being as good as they are, have a chance at #1, they deserve that chance. Oiler's can f**k off, though.

mcdavid, lafrenière, and draisaitl on one team. that’s fun for nobody in the nhl besides oilers nation.

Ideal fit would be Edmonton to ride shotgun for Mcdavid. Twitter would burn to the ground, Toronto media would all jump in a barrel and ride Niagara falls. Too much fun

Think you just answered your own question. Most teams/fanbases would kill for a chance at picking 1st overall even once, and the Oiler's have duffed it time and again. The general feeling seems to be "enough is enough"

The yak draft was actually pretty poor even looking in hindsight. Not alot to be worthy of a 1st overall. Same with Nuge draft actually.

You would rather watch Lafrenière play with Mcdavid or Crosby than go to the Rangers

I hate the rangers and I don’t want them to have a LW punch of Panarin-Laf

Pretty much where I'm at as well. I'd add Columbus to the best case scenario side, since I think it'd be a cool thing for the team that went ALL IN two years ago to get gifted something in return. Plus that organization needs a "franchise" player pretty badly.

only reason i didn’t put cbj in the best case scenario section is because they’d be competing against the sabres for a wild card spot
