I'm not a fan of moving Kapanen and Carolina probably rejects anyways.

    What happened to Dermott?

I do not know if Carolina would trade Pesce for Liljegren and Kapanen, though they may. I guess it depends on where they project Liljegren's potential. If you're Carolina, you probably ask for Nylander. I am not saying that's a fair deal (trust me), but if I were them I would ask for Nylander.

This is the best team the NHL has had Change My Mind,
Mathews a 50 goal scorer 1st round franchise player 1 st overall pick
Tavares a franchise 1 st overall selection veteran
    Marner the mini Patty Kane
Nylander the skilled Swedish 30 goal scorer
Hyman the workhorse around the board
Lafreniere a possible genarational 1st overall talent
    Ilya the Russian Lightmaker
    Robertson the gritty scorer
    Kerfoot the third line stapler
Spezza the elite veteran 2nd overall player
    Engvall the AHL marvel
    Barabonov the Walmart Ovechkin
    Rielly the Canadian Fowler
    Pesce the shutdown D man
Muzzin the Cup experienced D man
    Holl the AHL Shutdown marvel
    Sandin the Swedish Skater
    Lehtonen the European Phenom
Anderson the top notch Vezina calibre goalie
Campbell the reliable cup contending backup

I like Kapanen but Pesce is worth more than a 3rd liner and a prospect.

But Kapanen is not a 3rd liner. He’s more of a supporting 2nd liner with higher upside who’s still young. And Liljgren has top 4D potentila

Unless Kapanen is playing on a top line, his potential is maxed out. 40-45 point guy that plays a solid 2 way game. Again I like him as a player just not for Pesce. Hurricanes have supportive 2nd liner guys. Nino, Dzingel, and Foegele.

Canes have 5 defenders in the system right now that could play in the league eventually. Not one of them is a shutdown guy. Fensmore, Bean, Keane, Honka, and Sellgren.

I think Turbo, Aho, Kapanen could make an excellent Finnish 1st line that’s could on both sides of the puck.

Well Lafreniere isn't part of the roster. But in terms of points it is pretty good, zero grit for winning a cup though
