Can someone help explain what is Montreal doing? Rebuilding ? Retooling? Competing? In any event is acquiring a very expensive RW what this team really needs?

Why would Montreal trade a boatload for a guy who disappears in the playoffs? Remove Marner from Tavares and put him on Montreal...who sets him up for all of those open shots? No one up the middle for the Habs draws defensemen like Tavares does. I think this would be a disappointing move for Montreal.

Watch the games. Marner hasn't disappeared since game 1. He's been all over the ice. Just because he doesn't have an insane amount of points doesn't mean he disappeared.

I have watched the games...every one.Playoffs is about production. What has he done during his career during the playoffs? The refs are also all over the ice and have contributed about as much as Marner has.

Lol. Are you serious? Add your next 4 1sts and Suzuki to that for Lafreniere.

Habs don't need another small guy. especially one making 10.5M. I think a fair deal for both teams would be Mtl 1st round pick (16th overall) to Toronto for Nylander. Habs get a scoring winger at a decent salary and leafs shed salary to invest in D
