Keep in mind any RFA offer at $4.5 million per year or more likely gets matched.

I'd do that in a heartbeat.

I think Dunn would be a terrific D for Pens for instance. Dunn-Marino could be a great pair for them.

Could see them offer the 15th overall pick, provided they don't win the lottery.

I agree, but it may happen depending on how hard up Army gets for Petro. Schwartz is likely moved instead if needed, but Dunn is an option. Personally, I keep Dunn, Let Petro walk and use the money elsewhere if Petro wants a crazy contract.

Agreed, find another Marino or Parayko or Fox. Easier said than done, but they’re out there.

Carolina 1st, Zac Jones, Lauri Pajuniemi and Hajek as well for a cheap depth defenseman on the left side (lot of futures but you guys can't really take on salary).

The prospects are two I what is considered our top 10 prospects. Knock tryna knock value on Dunn, I just can't see them moving Kravtsov, Robertson, Miller or Lundkvist.
That's why the first is included and maybe another 3rd, but that'd be stretching it.

I actually laughed aloud on this one with a good smile to boot. Too funny. Army sure did fleece the Sabres with that one.

Part of me wonders how much of the trade was Jason Botterill and how much was The ownership pressuring him.

Yeah, and I think where you really have to give credit is he likely didn’t budge what so ever on giving up Robert Thomas as the centerpiece. Or even Jordan Kyrou, who I think they were targeting. By keeping Thomas in the fold, they keep their long term success open.

Other than his size, I never understood why Tage was a first round pick by us anyway.
