Not a horrible over pay,

based more off the Tatar trade from two years ago,

Truth is, he has not put up the points the past two years, but i think he is skilled enough to return to his 30g state with Aho and Svech,

yeah it is a bit of an over pay, but not really that egregious i don't think,

I would take a chance on Rackell, i think our prospect pool is deep enough to gamble.

If you think this is bad look at the post two above mine.

Because, despite being on a ****ty team, Rakell has an amazing contract and is a 50+ point player when on a contending team. Same with Manson and the rest of the ducks players...

With 2 years if control left that is too much to give up especially the 13th OA pick in this draft.

Rakell would be a 20 + goal scorer on the Canes. The Canes are incredibly deadly and adding Rakell to that roster would greatly increase their chances at the cup these next two years

He would be a good addition but not worth the 13th OA in this year’s draft. Not with only 2 years of control.

He most likely would sign a team friendly deal once it expires. I can’t see him asking for an abundance

In the same 2 years time we have extensions to Svech, Hamilton and Necas. How can you guarantee that a 20-30 goal scorer isn’t going to ask for what he is worth?

Because that same 20-30 goal scorer agree to a friendly deal with the Ducks when we had Kesler Perry and Getzlaf’s fat contacts

Rakell plays for the game not the money. He’s stated that before
