Lafreniere would have to go on Sid’s wing and I’d play Rust on the RW. He’s great at winning pick battles and he can score.

Jake and Zucker would be Malkin’s wings and that combo would likely rejuvenate Geno. We still need a third line though. Teddy can center a fourth line with Tanev and ZAR. I’d sign Simon to play the left wing on the third line with Horny on the RW. This is where you look at moving McCann for a more natural center. The kid blows in the faceoff circle and I’m tired of losing so many draws. Geno has always sucked at FO’s but his talent more than made up for it. You can’t have that with a 3rd line C

I’d take him back as a LW but not as a center. Virtanen would give us size down the RWvwe currently do not have and someone needs to help Sid out along the boards because we can’t keep putting wingers with him that have no physical game

I get with the Pens winning Alex L it hurts teams like Minn. and Florida but is that the Pens fault? Personally I think the league should just do by standings. If you were the worse you get the first pick KISS.

Its absolutely not the Pens fault, and I think whoever wins they will be the target of undue anger. I am curious as to how fans of these teams feel about the situation. As a Detroit fan it obviously stings pretty bad.

No. Just from my readings, the comparable for Jarry is Jordan Binnington from STL ($8.8M over 2 years). Jarry has done less than Binnington, imo. So bring that down to roughly, $8M contract over 3 years. $2.667M AAV.

The NHL doesn’t care. It’s an absolute wetdream for them right now. You can guarantee the Penguins win the lottery. It’s been known for awhile now. What a reward for losing in a playoff. Imagine them promoting it Crosby and Lafreniere. Bet the jersey is already made.
