Rangers win lotto.
If Toronto wins, it just establishes the fact that they can hand out as many expensive contracts as they please but can keep on getting elite to generational talent. I hope they don’t win for that reason. They have 3 top 25 forwards and can’t win a playoff round, getting a generational forward right now doesn’t help the defense...
If Edm gets him, just give McDavid the proclaimed McDavid of the wingers...

Have seen this trade on another thread, just depends on what happens with Flyers in playoffs. Rangers NEED a top 4 LHD, and can’t force Miller as a rookie to do it. Miller should be either in HFD or the 6/7 dman on this team and let him get say 40-50 games while Staal gets 35-40 but on 3rd pair.

The Flyers NEED a top 4 LHD as well. I get that Deangelo can put up points, but he is used in a fairly protect manner this year, and we have plenty of guys on the backend that can hold their own in the O-zone. Real questions is why give up a highly-regarded, young, 2-way dman for a more expensive offensive specialist. I'd rather play Ghost in those minutes than lose Sanhiem and juggle two guys that need to be protected to be successful.

There is almost double the chance of one of those teams winning this lottery than the last place team had of winning the actual lottery...

That’s true, didn’t realize when I made the team that Detroit has 32 overall. Basically a 2+3 I figured but doesn’t have to be Detroit.
