Not that the Preds would move Ellis, but if we did, I'd rather not retain on Ellis and take out the 3rd round pick. You still have the space for Ellis at full price.

The Preds' blueline is a heck of a lot like the Oilers' offense - the top end guys look amazing so you assume there's depth, but once you get past them there's pretty much nothing. Accordingly, we can't afford to lose Ellis.
