Not moving Graves + Zadorov + Jost for Kreider, that would be an overpayment. Take out Graves and it would be worth considering.

Graves isn't a "quantity" piece. He's a legit top 4 Dman who will be signed to a great contract.

How about Jost + Zadorov? Throw in Kamenev or a mid-round pick/prospect if you want.

It’s better but still not what the rangers need. I could see them targeting Zadorov but not sure he’s what there looking for...

No interest in Kreider tbh. Certainly not giving up assets for him.

compher zadorov and a 2nd

No thanks.

Kreider has a full NMC so the market will be extremely limited if NYR want to move him. His contract also looks worse after the flat cap happened.

I'd think about Compher + Zadorov if you'd be ok with dropping the pick.

Compher + Zadorov for Kreider (no Hajek involved)
NYR give up a 2nd line wing and get a 3rd C and a middle pairing D man

Yeah, you gave him away for free basically. Incredibly bad decision. The guy is now a top 4 D on a contender.

Zadorov has 1 year of team control left and kreider is locked in for basically the rest of his NHL career at a reasonable price for his prime

Zadorov has 2 years left. His first season with Colorado he only played 22 games which is short of the 40 game threshold to count as a full NHL season. So next year he will be 26 and have 6 NHL seasons accrued, meaning that he falls short for UFA. So Rangers can sign him to a 1 year QO at $3.2m, and then decide what to do with him in 2021 when he's an RFA again.

Last time around you have AV as coach who didn't want bigger Dmen. Right about now Graves is exactly the sort of LHD who could fit perfectly next to Fox or DeAngelo, or even Trouba for that matter.

As I understand it his first Avs season wouldn't count as a team-controlled year since he didn't play enough games. I could be wrong though.
